Alfa Romeo 182 F1

First pressed into service for the San Marino Grand Prix, chassis 182/04 was entered for five Grands Prix during the 1982 season.

Raced by Andrea de Cesaris, its best placing was a third at the Monaco Grand Prix, despite running out of fuel on the final lap. The final contemporary outing was the practice session at the Canadian Grand Prix, during which De Cesaris crashed the car. The car was returned to Autodelta where it was rebuilt around a new tub. Chassis 182/04 was not raced again but did serve as a spare for the remainder of the season. More recently, this 182 F1 was restored to full running order by R.S. Historics and shown at Villa d’Este in 2018.
