Mercedes-Benz expands EV portfolio with two new models: “The new EQE Sedan” and “The new EQS SUV,” hosting “StarFest Defining Electric” event for customers to experience all models on August 24-25


• New EV platforms in 2025 onwards: Introducing “MB.EA” for medium-size vehicles, “AMG.EA” for performance vehicles, and “VAN.EA” for light commercial vehicles, while large EVs such as the EQE and EQS, will use the “EVA2” platform.
• Expanding EV portfolio in Thailand: Launching the “EQE 300” imported from Germany and the “EQS 450 4MATIC SUV AMG Dynamic,” the second locally assembled top-end luxury SUV following the EQS 500 4MATIC AMG Premium.

Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Co., Ltd. continues to solidify its position as a pioneer in luxury electric vehicles by introducing two new models: the “EQE 300” sedan, completing the EQE lineup with both sedan and SUV body styles, including a high-performance model from Mercedes-AMG, and the “EQS 450 4MATIC SUV AMG Dynamic,” a full-size, 7-seater luxury SUV following the EQS 500 4MATIC AMG Premium, which was the first locally assembled model produced on the EVA2 (Electric Vehicle Architecture) platform, designed exclusively for EVs. Hosting the “StarFest Defining Electric” event, where Thai customers can experience and test drive over 13 models of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles from August 24-25, 2024, at Unformat Studio.

In Thailand, Mercedes-Benz is the first luxury brand to assemble batteries for electric vehicles. It is also the first country outside Germany to assemble a flagship EV like the ‘EQS 500 4MATIC,’ which was launched in 2022.
