The Performance Pack Level 2 was created by the Mustang team working after hours to produce a set of performance features that raise the bar on the original Performance Pack for the Mustang GT. The Performance Pack Level 1 includes Brembo six-piston front brake calipers with larger rotos, a larger radiator, special chassis and antilock brake tuning, electric power-assisted steering, a K-brace, and a Torsen rear differential with 3.73 axle ratio.
The Performance Pack Level 2 includes custom tuned MagneRide dampers and quicker steering calibration, a 67 percent stiffer rear stabilizer bar, 20 percent stiffer front springs, and 13 percent stiffer rear springs. The aerodynamic changes include a redesigned front splitter and rear spoiler, and a lower stance with the body dropped over half an inch. The 305/30/R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are an inch and a half wider than those on the Performance Pack Level 1, and ride on 10 spoke Dark Tarnish 19″ wheels that are exclusive to the Level 2. Other visual features include black detailing on the splitter and spoiler, and the tire spat on the back edge of the rear wheel wells.
The package is available only with a manual transmission.
