The K900’s revised exterior styling is described as more dignified and sophisticated than the outgoing model. The company stresses that the car has been completely reimaged with “only its name” carried over.
The company apparently felt little pressure to retain the first-generation K900 styling. US sales bottomed out at just 455 units last year, maintaining a steep decline from a peak of around 2,500 in 2015.
The all-new sedan still targets the budget luxury niche, doubling down with an even more upscale interior and the Korean automaker’s full range of safety and assistance technologies. Drivers are treated to a 12.3-inch infotainment system and tactile dial on the center console.
A longer wheelbase and wider stance are said to provide improved control and stability, while stiffer torsional rigidity is credited with further elevating its “premium on-road feel.”
The second-gen K900 is slated to land in US showrooms by the fourth quarter of this year.
