Audi e-tron to arrive in May with 204-mile range, $75K price tag

The crossover can add 54 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charge time.

Audi has announced final specifications and launch details for the new e-tron crossover.

The company’s first all-electric standard production model will have an EPA-estimated range of 204 miles, approximately 90 miles less than the Tesla Model X.

Audi says average buyers of premium vehicles only travel around 30 miles per day. The e-tron is capable of adding 54 miles of range in just 10 minutes when connected to a 150-kW charger, or 163 miles in 30 minutes.

The crossover boasts up to 402 horsepower in ‘Boost Mode,’ allowing drivers to hit 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. The Model X, in contrast, has a zero-to-60 mph benchmark of 4.7 seconds in standard form or 3.5 seconds for the Performance edition.

The first reservation holders will receive their e-tron in May. Prices start at $74,800, undercutting the cheapest Model X by nearly $6,000.
